WHAT IS THIS?

Silver Drawing Academy is an online art school with the goal of helping you improve your drawing ability through video and live zoom meetups to review your work. Stephen will teach you what is required to be a Character Designer for the studios and freelance clients, the business of art, what it takes to become an independent artist, how to take control of your career, how to develop the skills and mindset to communicate with clients, and good practice habits. Everything you need to IGNITE YOUR PASSION!

WHY I STARTED THE SILVER DRAWING ACADEMY

I discovered early on that my true passion in life is teaching. When I decided that I wanted to pursue this full-time, I put a plan into place and created The Silver Drawing Academy.

I have enjoyed the process of witnessing my students grow over the years and succeed in the art industry. Academy students have gone on to start their own companies and get hired at animation studios.

Having reviewed hundreds of portfolios as a Disney recruiter; I know that I can help lead artists in the right direction and give them the boost they need to break into the industry.

My goal is to help build artists’ confidence and skills to prime them for a fulfilling art career and to remind them of how fun it is to draw.

8-WEEK CHARACTER DESIGN PROGRAM

CUSTOMIZED TO MEET YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS

Throughout this course, Stephen will share with you his creative drawing process and personal techniques for producing successful character designs. This class is built on opening lecture, demos, in-class exercises, and homework. You will gain a better understanding of the drawing and design process, and learn tools to constantly improve your skills. This 8 week instruction course will build your confidence in drawing, while inspiring you with new ideas that will help you grow continuously.
